Students learn how character counts at Co-Line
Several teachers from Lynnville-Sully Community School visited Co-Line in the fall and heard how our values play a major role in our activities. Those values hit home with the teachers and administration, and Co-Line was asked to share more about that with their students. The electrical and the industrial technology class from the school visited Co-Line on Jan. 12. Fifteen students participated in a plant tour with Eric Leonard. During the tour, Eric shared information on the variety of jobs and skills needed to work at Co-Line, as well as how respect, competition, and personal responsibility play a part in everyday activities.

The students also heard from Linda Russell, Jay Mitchell, and Zach McClellan, who talked about their roles at Co-Line. Linda explained to the students how the interview process is designed to learn about a candidate’s core values. Jay and Zach choose to talk about subordination/teamwork and support. Each gave real-life examples of how those values are necessary in their jobs every day, reinforcing how critical those character skills are to long-term success.
