GS_HiltonMagicBannerGoalsetter recently co-sponsored a "Season of Hilton Magic" promotion with Community Choice Credit Union (CCCU). 7,000+ people registered for a chance to win two tickets to all sessions, lodging, and gas money to the Big 12 Conference basketball tournament in Kansas City. The promotion began the first week in December and ended Saturday, March 8th. In addition to the Big 12 tournament tickets, tickets to other Iowa State games were given away to registrants. Goalsetter was a co-“Game Day” sponsor at the Iowa State / Oklahoma State basketball game at Hilton Coliseum on March 8th.To commemorate it being Senior Day and the season finale, the Goalsetter staff handed out 5,000 rally towels and hosted a free throw shootout." It was a fun experience,” said Wayne Woollums, lifelong Hawkeye fan, who experienced the “magic” for the first time. “There is a great energy and atmosphere at Hilton. The free throw winner and son were also very excited.” "This promotion resulted in over 7,000 e-mail addresses and 370 leads of people interested in purchasing a basketball hoop, with another 1621 potential leads. Our team is working at following up with each lead," said Faye Brand of the promotion's success. The promotion also included opportunities to promote the Goalsetter brand at Jordan Creek Mall using a ceiling banner, table and entrance door clings and video. A Goalsetter display comprised of a Contender, Junior Wall Mount, rim table and backboard table is currently setup near the mall’s center courtyard. It will be on display through the end of April. Several types of media were enlisted to get the word out about the “Season of Hilton Magic” contest. Digital ads ran on the Facebook pages and websites of Goalsetter, CCCU and ISU Athletics. Multiple email blasts were sent to 35,000 CCCU members and 92,000+ ISU fans. To help drive people to the websites, radio ads also aired during the broadcasts of the ISU basketball games. Going forward, Goalsetter will be reaching out to the 7,000+ participants of the promotion, encouraging them to consider Goalsetter when purchasing a basketball hoop. Faye Brand mentioned, "Even for a die hard Hawkeye fan, I have to admit the feeling at Hilton was an experience itself. Especially being on the court during the last second shot and overtime. The fans were so polite, especially when handing out free rally towels!"
