With the retirement of Co-Line Repair Shop employee Gaylord De Jong after 24 years with the company, some customers have wondered if Co-Line still does farm and commercial repair. The team in the Repair Shop would like to assure all that the shop is still open and is ready to tackle whatever projects customers bring in.
The Repair Shop has been and still is an important part of Co-Line. In fact, the company got its start 36 years ago with the opening of the welding shop. The quality work and personal service guaranteed at the shop back then is still at the heart of Co-Line today, even with the tremendous growth the company has experienced since its start in 1979.
In its many years of serving local farmers and businesses, the Repair Shop has worked on a wide array of projects. The team has made fabrication repairs to all lines of farm equipment, grain and livestock trailers, construction equipment, and more. Other unique projects have included everything from working in a mine to creating custom racks for businesses to building projects like skateboard ramps and roll-off containers.
Though a lot of projects come to Co-Line, the Repair Shop team has the capability to go on the road to wherever a repair job is located. The shop’s portable welding services are particularly utilized by farmers when their equipment is broken down and time is of the essence.
With a combined 65 years of experience in the welding/repair/equipment field, the Repair Shop team is comprised of four skilled men: Team Leader Kyle Krampe, Don Steenhoek, Ty Clark, and JT Walker.
The team is available at the Co-Line Repair Shop five miles south of Sully (1232 100th St., Sully) from 6 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be reached at 641-594-2953.
