Christmas comes to Co-Line
With over $112,000 in awards and prizes given out, a delicious meal of brisket served, and the chance to see Rail dressed as Mrs. Claus, the 2017 Christmas lunch was once again a big hit. It was also the perfect way to ring in the Christmas shutdown week on Dec. 23.
Prime Country BBQ & Catering served up a filling meal of brisket, cheesy potatoes, scalloped corn, roll, cheesecake, and drink.

In addition to tasty food, every good Christmas party needs a reindeer, Christmas tree, and Santa. So, the games helped find Co-Liners’ favorites.
Santa’s Supporters (Roger Van Hal, Brad Musgrove, Chris Tice, and Brad Braafart) won the Christmas Tree Challenge and received cash in the shape of a Christmas tree while the losers ended up with tree bark.
The Shockers (Brenda Schoonover, Porter Burtlow, Anson Walker, and Mike Helleur) won the Reindeer Challenge and received “Reinbeer” and a Casey’s gift card. The losers, on the other hand, went home with reindeer “poop.”
Team Chip-N-Drills (Luke Weishaar, Matt Facile, Doug McClelland, and Jeff De Jong) won the Santa Dress-Up Contest and received cash out of Eric Brand’s wallet.
And it just wouldn’t be a complete Co-Line Christmas party without at least one pie-in-the-face. Zach McClellan had asked Faye a couple days before the Christmas lunch what it would take to get the pies-in-the-face back at the Christmas party. He had lots of ideas, but Faye had promised no pies to the people who had signed up for the games. “At the last moment, I decided if Zach asked for one, he would get one!” Faye shared. Zach was a good sport, but now Faye is worried about his revenge!

Also at the lunch, years-of-service bonuses were awarded, and the floating holiday of Monday, July 3, was announced. Linda Russell explained that the Wellness program will be continued despite coming up short of 50 percent participation in 2016. In 2017, an alternate wellness challenge will be offered each quarter that can be used in place of a monthly challenge.
Bill Wilkerson closed the party with a Christmas blessing.
