In the second round, Brand had the starting line advantage with a 0.040 reaction time against Andy Bohl of Racine, WI but the car lost power as Brand saw the broken throttle cable dangling in the wind. Dan Pomponio of Berlin, NJ would go on to win the Top Alcohol Funny Car class, his second win of the season, and third final appearance at NHRA Four-Wide Nationals.

The Co-Line/Goalsetter team was idle over the Easter weekend to spend time with their families, but will be back in action this weekend, April 24-27 at the 27th Annual O-Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Spring Nationals in Houston, TX.
